You might have noticed the foundational philosophy at the top of this page- REAL FAITH. REAL PEOPLE. This is a concise summary of everything we are as forgiven followers of Jesus Christ. Imagine a church where people are genuine in their faith. They have a faith so real that it actually changes the way they think and live within their community and world. Now imagine those same people being so real in faith that they are genuine with one another. Building strong relationships that go deeper than just superficial interactions on a Sunday morning. Real people with relationships so strong that they help each other overcome their difficulties and celebrate God’s accomplishments in their life. People who realize that they are not left to follow Jesus on their own. REAL FAITH. REAL PEOPLE. Help us be real before God and each other this Sunday.
We exist to invite people to meet Jesus.
It is as simple as that. We are a family of real people who have met and follow Jesus and his teaching. We believe that once someone meets Jesus as He truly is, they couldn’t possibly be the same. For this reason, we think that the driving force for our joy, our work, our faith, our marriage, our jobs, and our friendships is to help others receive the same freedom we have from sin. The Bible never teaches that we meet Jesus and then move on to other things in our life. Forgiven followers of Jesus see Him as the key to harmony and understanding of everything in their lives. Therefore, we exist to invite others to meet Jesus.
Lyons Creek Baptist Church holds unapologetically to the following doctrinal statement: The Baptist Faith and Message

We understand that a member of any family carries that family's responsibilities as well as its benefits. We believe that local church membership is not to be taken lightly and that certain expectations should be clearly presented and upheld for each member of the faith family. Therefore, we see these four concepts as a summary of our family responsibilities.
To invite people to meet Jesus through a saving relationship and passionate worship
To involve ourselves in a Jesus led community of small group Bible study
To invest our life, time, and resources in helping others meet Jesus
To inspire people to meet Jesus through selfless service

Hey, glad you stopped by... We want every 6th-12th grader who comes through the door to have an incredible experience, and have the opportunity to see who Jesus REALLY is and what he is all about! We have lots of stuff that you can check out each week and throughout the year. Check them out below!!!
Sunday Morning Connect Groups
Sundays at 9:15-10:15 a.m.
This is the place that you come if you want to get connected. Sunday morning Bible studies help students connect with each other, with some adult leaders that care about them, and most importantly to God and his plan for our lives. We get together, take a look at God's Word, and then break up into groups. In the groups, you ask questions, discuss your thoughts, and get to know each other as a group.
Life U for Students
Sundays at 6:00-7:00 p.m.
Life U is designed for students to grow deeper in their faith. Each Fall and Spring Lyons Creek hosts Life University (Life U) for students in grades 6th -12th. These topical studies allow students to gain better understanding of God and His purpose for their life. As students gain a better understanding of what God desires for their life they gain the Fuel they need to follow Him wherever He leads.
Youth Celebration
Wednesdays at 6:30-7:30 p.m.
It's a place for students to come, have fun, celebrate, and find out more about who God really is. David will challenge students each week from God’s word. Youth will also build relationships with their peers, play games, and sing praises to God. Wednesday nights provide a great opportunity to get involved.
Youth Events
Throughout the year One Way Youth Ministry is intentional in the events we provide for youth. We are always looking for new ways to reach more students as well as challenge the students who are currently attending. Some of the events we participate in include Carter Crusade, DNOW weekend, Crossings Summer Camp, Operation Inspiration Mission week, Lock-in, Hearts on Fire, and much more. We also challenge our students to go beyond what is normal to reach and serve others for the cause of Christ.
God has given distinct biblical roles to men within the church and in the home. At Lyons Creek we are committed to equipping men to live lives that glorify God in their unique role. We are striving to build men through accountability, teaching, and friendship. That is why you will see a variety of opportunities available dealing with Men’s discipleship. Men’s conferences, focused small group studies, and on-going Bible teaching are just some of the ways we strive to assist men in meeting Jesus.
Women are a vital part of any effective church or home. God’s call on a woman’s life is both personal and essential. At Lyons Creek, the women’s ministry seeks to equip women to fulfill the role that God has called us to in our lives through small group Bible studies each fall during Life University, women’s conferences, monthly fellowship opportunities designed to help bridge the gap between all age groups of women serving at Lyons Creek, and other opportunities throughout the year for fellowship and spiritual growth.

We believe that Jesus has called His Church to a have a selfless presence in a fallen world. At Lyons Creek we are constantly looking for opportunities to serve others. In fact, it is one of the primary expectations of membership. We expect all members to INSPIRE people to meet Jesus through selfless service. One avenue to be involved in selfless service is our Hands On ministry. Hands On is the umbrella program that covers a variety of different service ventures for those in need. We are available for small projects such as cleaning, brush clearing, minor construction, handicapped accessibility construction, and many other simple service needs. We also provide this in a larger scale through Operation Inspiration Week. As a total church effort, we set apart one week annually to focus our attention on impacting our local and surrounding areas with selfless service projects. The Hands On ministry is also your place to connect to national and international Disaster Relief Ministry. In our cooperative partnership with the Tennessee Baptist Convention and the Southern Baptist Convention we offer certification and travel opportunities to assist in the clean up of natural disasters and beyond. Opportunities are always available to INSPIRE people to meet Jesus through selfless service.
Worship is more than just an hour on Sunday or a song that we sing. Worship is a person’s response to God through Jesus Christ. For this reason, worship can be found everywhere within the life of forgiven followers of Jesus. Members of our faith family are called to INVITE people to live lives of passionate worship that overflow into our Sunday morning hour in celebration and praise.
That’s why the music ministry at Lyons Creek is focused on using song to bring glory to God in Jesus Christ and nothing else. Music is more than just an emotive response to God, it is a tool God has given us to strengthen our faith by deepening our understanding of Him. Music matters at The Creek. Music is just one of the many powerful ways we can passionately worship God.
God wants us to constantly renew our minds as we learn how to live the life He has for us:
To put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness. Ephesians 4:22-24
